As from 1 July 2012, the supervision of the enforcement of sentences for ICTR cases falls under the jurisdiction of the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals (MICT). The MICT also has jurisdiction to designate enforcement States, including for persons thereafter convicted by the Tribunal.
