On 10 April 2014, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, in partnership with the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals, will host a commemoration ceremony in honour of the 20th anniversary of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.

The commemoration ceremony will be held at the Arusha International Conference Centre in Arusha, Tanzania and will begin at 10:30 and end at 13:00.  The event will focus on commemorating the victims and will include testimony from victims, a showing of the Kwibuka20 video, and speeches by the Tribunal’s principal officers—President Vagn Joensen, Prosecutor Hassan B. Jallow, and Registrar Bongani C.
