Renzaho Trial Closed
10 August 2007 On 6 September 2007, the Defence of Colonel Tharcisse Renzaho former Préfet of Kigali–Ville presented its 27th and final witness before Trial Chamber I of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR). The presentation ended the trial which started on 8 January 2007.

ICTR Indicts Witness for False Testimony
12 June 2007 On 11 June, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) issued an indictment against a witness for giving false testimony during the trial of Jean de Dieu Kamuhanda. ICTR Appoints New Chief of Prosecutions
12 June 2007 On 7 June 2007, Ms Silvana Arbia was appointed to the position of Chief of Prosecutions. Ms Arbia will replace Mr. Stephen Rapp who was appointed, by the Security Council, Prosecutor of the Special Court for Sierra Leone.

ICTR Prosecutor Requests Transfer of First Case to Rwanda
12 June 2007 On 11 June, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) requested transfer of the case of Fulgence Kayishema to Rwanda for trial. It is the first request for transfer of an ICTR case to the Rwandan national jurisdiction.
