During the visit he held official talks with Rwandan government officials including the Minister for Foreign Affairs; the Director of the Cabinet, Office of the President of the Republic; Minister for Women and Social Affairs; Minister for Justice; the Chief Prosecutor of the Rwandan Supreme Court; and the General Manager of ORINFOR, the Rwandese Government Information Directorate.

The talks were on closer cooperation between the Tribunal and the Rwanda Government.

The Registrar then visited the Ntarama genocide site, and the Nelson Mandela village of widows and orphans. He also met the press and gave an up-date of the Tribunal's activities.
